Garden projects come in all shapes and sizes, from creating a space-friendly container garden to designing sweeping beds for a new-build project. One thing all projects have in common, however, is that their success lies in having clear and manageable objectives. Identifying and honing these objectives is my first step in working with clients on a project of any scale. This process helps identify a clear timeline with corresponding tasks, whilst also ensuring that the end results are in sync with the client’s overall vision.
Rather than charge standardized fees for projects of varying sizes, I charge an hourly rate for any work I undertake for clients, whether it’s on-site designing, plant shopping, or providing hands-on gardening tutorials. This ensures that clients pay only for work that can and will be completed, rather than expensive plans that may never be realised.
Some projects might be completed in a weekend while others might develop over several years. Whatever the time frame, I strive to build excellent working relationships with clients so that I can guide every project to fruition and provide ongoing support as needed, ensuring satisfactory results that will provide joy for years to come.
